Who we are

JR Valeting & Detailing is a car valeting and detailing studio based in Coxhoe, County Durham. You can contact us about anything in this policy at enquiries@jrvaleting.uk.

What we collect and why

When you send us a booking enquiry, we collect the details you provide — your name, email address, phone number (optional), vehicle details, and your message. We use this information only to respond to your enquiry and arrange your booking. We don't sell or share it for marketing.

If you go on to book with us, we keep a record of your bookings and your vehicle's service history — including any before/after photos we take of your vehicle — so we can provide an ongoing service. We may email you service reminders when your vehicle is due for re-care. These reminders relate to the service you've had with us. From time to time we may also send you marketing about our offers and services — but only where the law allows (for example, where you're an existing customer or have agreed to it). Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to stop sending marketing or reminders at any time.

Spam protection (Cloudflare Turnstile)

Our enquiry form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which runs invisibly to verify that submissions come from real people rather than bots. Turnstile may process limited technical information about your browser and device to do this. For details, see the Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Addendum.

Third-party services

This website is hosted on Cloudflare. Emails to and from us — your enquiry confirmation and any service reminders — are delivered via an email delivery service, which may record whether an email was opened so we know our messages are getting through. These providers process data on our behalf solely to operate the site and handle our correspondence with you. We also load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google's servers when the page loads.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how our site is used — for example, which pages are most popular and where visitors come from. It is privacy-first: it uses no cookies and stores no information on your device, and it doesn't track you across other websites. The figures we see are aggregated and don't identify you, so no consent banner is needed.

How long we keep your data

If your enquiry doesn't lead to a booking, we keep it only as long as needed to deal with it, then delete it. If you become a customer, we keep your contact details, booking and vehicle service history, and any photos of your vehicle for as long as you remain a customer, so we can provide ongoing service and reminders. You can ask us to delete your records at any time (see below).

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Just email enquiries@jrvaleting.uk.
